The woodcarvings in these images have been made by the great New Orleans artist Herbert Singleton who has inspired me alot. Hes dead now but when he was alive he used to show his art over at the Barristers gallery in the city where I was in a group show in october 2009 called “Folk magic and curious objects”.Here is a video with a short interview with him:
