The Young Geeks

Filed under: Main — Mackanlee @ 10:55 pm

I went over to my parents crib the other night to have dinner. My dad told me that he had bought a piece of naive art from a woman who had visited our old house in drottningholm in the early 70s when I was real young. She had asked if she could paint our garden which she did. But not only that. She painted a very weird portrait of me and my brother playing in the garden. My dad was offered to by it for a really expensive price back then in the 70s but said no. Nowe he met her again last week and bought it:

It reallty made me think of a piece that I myself had drawn a while back called “the young geeks”. This piece was based loosley around me and my brother when we where around the age that this weird pice of naive art was made that my dad had purchased.

Heres another photo that it made me think of that I call “geeks with tiger” Its me and Dave Janssens fondling a tiger cub in a Belgian Zoo.

This is my dad at the beginning of the dinner giving himself the old rabbit ears behind the head.

This is Elric doing it to him after hes crashed out in front of the TV:

Wherever I went yesterday people kept asking me: are you gonna watch the game? where are you watching the game? Sorry cant talk gotta go watch the game, arent you gonna watch the game???I cant believe your not gonna watch the game!the game THE GAME!!!…Now a day later we have heros that knocked a piece of plastic into a cage a couple of times. whats the deal with hockey anyway a whole bunch of dudes all over the place and an announcer calling out last names andersson!! forsberg!!! klitgaard!!!You cant even tell whose who and you definetly cant see the puck. plus these schmoes get paid more than the anual defecit of a small third world country.these guys arent my heroes and they will never be. sports can never be fun to watch on tv and all male bonding that goes on around television sets while watching sports is just so mind numbingly boring. Ill watch hockey together with like 25 lesbians but it will be a cold day in hell when you find me with sitting around a table with a bunch of svennar eating beefjerky and drinking lukewarm beer watching “the game”.

Start Nourishing!

Filed under: Main — Mackanlee @ 8:21 pm

This is a classic simpsons moment. They go to see a french canadian circus thats sort of like cirkus cirkör(yeeech!).
the tent gets hit by a thunderstorm and the performers bail out.

Homer demands his full value and that his inner child be nourished.

The best part is when he waves his fist at the frenchman and just mutters meanacingly “..nourish!”

The Screen

Filed under: Main — Mackanlee @ 12:51 pm

A phone company offers this function in the states. Im gonna see if I can get it for my phone here:

Call Screen : Your phone can be programmed to reject calls from selected numbers with a service called Call Screen . Instead of ringing on your line, these calls are routed to a recording that tells the caller you will not take the call. With Call Screen, you can also program your telephone to reject calls from the number of the last person who called. This allows you to block calls even if you do not know the phone number. Most phone companies charge a monthly fee for this service.
Call Screen is not a foolproof way to stop unwelcome calls. A determined caller can move to a different phone number to bypass the block. Also, Call Screen does not work on long distance calls from outside your service area.

I saw the movie night of the living dead this weekend. It has the classical “there coming for you barbara” lines in it. its a zombie fleash eating flic thats surprisingly raw and unsentimental in its esthetic. The main hero, watch him in action here:

is this tough but kind black dude dies at the end even as he has managed to survive the whole night through. The ironoc thing is that he isnt killed by the zombies but hes shot by the posse that has been sent out to rescue him. They shoot him thinking that hes a zombie. One side of me got really frustrated about this because the dude works so god damn hard at staying alive the whole night through. Making fires, building obstacles, fighting with regular people who are total assholes and zombies as well! But its like a friende of mine said that its the fact that he does die that makes it such a classic. Black and white film. Red necks. Gruesome flesh feasts.Yep…

The Jerry Lee Lewis Show

Filed under: Main — Mackanlee @ 12:34 pm

This is my favorite tv show. The Jerry Lee Lewis Show

Heres a great scene where an old lady falls in the water.Haha!

This is good old Jerry Lee getting mad at his kids cause there riding there mopeds too fast. Jerry Chases them on foot and everything is sped up. So great.

This is a weird black dude dancing around in a cool red suit.

This is Jerry Lee walking around as the proud boy in a nostalgic medley about his home town.

Go Jerry! Go!

This is Jerry with a back up singing band. They all look like they have taken droguz.

Singing sentimental Jesus songs. Great!

Speaking about people who look like each other. This is a dude I know who a friend of mine thinks I look like. Primarily I think he mentioned the big tooth smile that flashes alot of the gums(tandkött)

Here is this other cool dude I know that shows up every now and then and supports my efforts at artistic functions. He also has a similar smile.

And this my friendes is the Bride of Frökensterner!

Ps. The cool thing is that if you look down at Lemmy you will see that he has a similar kind of smile.
